The Landry Hat

● By Jerry Trotta
It seems like a long shot that Deion Sanders will become the Dallas Cowboys' head coach, but the rumors are getting louder. In light of that buzz, a concerning number of media members have suggested the impractical idea of Dallas trading Dak Prescott to move up in the 2025 NFL Draft and select Shedeur Sanders. This exercise obviously has Deion as the team's head coach. Not only does Prescott have a no-trade clause, but trading him would result in over $100 million in dead cap. That would be a non-starter for most franchises. While Deion has been outspoken about wanting to coach his sons in the NFL, he'll have to give that up if he takes the Dallas job. With the media spreading illogical ideas, let's dive into a Cowboys 2025 mock draft that is actually realistic. In this mock, Dallas trades the No. 12 overall pick to Seattle for picks 18 and 50. Therefore, we will project four picks - Nos. 18, 44, 50 and 76.
