Browns Wire

The Cleveland Browns paused their disastrous season with a win over the Baltimore Ravens, making their 2025 NFL draft slot a bit more complicated when doing mock drafts. The win kept the Browns in the playoff race but reduced their chances of having the number one pick. The win was much needed for a fanbase and organization tired of losing. The Browns’ win pushed the team from a top-five pick to the eighth pick. The Browns probably need a top-five pick to select one of the top quarterbacks in the draft. The quarterback class is projected to be very weak. Top prospects including Jalen Milroe, Carson Beck, Quinn Ewers, and Drew Allar should return to school next year. They have a lot of room to improve and the NFL is not a patient league. If the Browns cannot land a franchise quarterback in the draft, they must consider finding Myles Garrett a running mate. The team is rumored to be shopping defensive end Za’Darius Smith ahead of the trade deadline. The defensive line class is deep and a top-ten pick could help them find a premier talent to match with Garrett.
