What a game from veteran quarterback Jameis Winston in the upset victory over the Baltimore Ravens last week. It got me thinking: If he can continue this, would the team consider re-signing him with the plan to start him in 2025? Winston is only 30 years old, so it isn't out of the question that he could be the Cleveland Browns starter for multiple years. A Geno Smith-like resurgence from Winston would be awesome for Browns fans. Having a starting quarterback heading into the 2025 off-season would totally change the Browns' plans and focus for the NFL Draft. So, I wanted to do a mock draft with the condition that Winston continues to play well and the team re-signs him. Their pick might not be as high if that happens; I understand that, but for now, I will use their current draft position. One other note: I am also adding that Dawand Jones plays well at left tackle and heads into 2025 as the team's starter at the position. Like my last mock draft, I am using the simulator and NFL Mock Draft Database to build a consensus draft board for a more accurate simulation.
