With the 2021 NFL Draft just hours away, the Las Vegas Raiders will soon be on the clock in year four of the Jon Gruden era. Mike Mayock will be entering his third draft and after mixed results so far, he will likely need a great draft if he wants to see a fourth offseason with the Raiders. Jon Gruden’s seat is not nearly as hot as he still has six years left on his contract, but things might start getting a little warmer than usual for him if the team struggles or misses the playoffs once again. The best way for Gruden to do that is to build up the talent level through the draft while also patching some of the holes that happened as a result of players leaving in free agency or traded in cap relief moves.
