There was plenty of speculation about whether or not the Philadelphia Eagles would trade back from the sixth pick on draft night. They instead did so earlier than expected. General manager and vice president Howie Roseman made the move by trading away the sixth overall pick and a fifth-round pick (156th overall) in exchange for the Miami Dolphins’ 12th overall pick, fourth-round pick (123rd overall), and their 2022 first-round pick. This news came after the San Francisco 49ers traded up to acquire the Dolphins third-overall pick.
