The New York Jets have made big additions for the second offseason in a row. Coming into the offseason the Jets had needs at offensive line and wide receiver. They’ve addressed both of those areas in free agency. One of the biggest signings of the offseason was the Jets bringing in second-team All-Pro, Tyron Smith. There’s undoubtedly some risk that comes with this move as he has had injury issues in recent years, but he is still a dominant player when on the field. At right tackle, they acquired Morgan Moses from the Baltimore Ravens in a trade. They also acquired the Ravens’ starting left guard John Simpson after signing him to a two-year deal in free agency. A complimentary wide receiver to Garrett Wilson has been a lacking component in the Jets’ offense in recent years. They addressed this need in free agency by signing Mike Williams to a one-year deal. New York also built upon a strength when they made one of the biggest splashes of the offseason last week when they traded for Haason Reddick from the Eagles.
