It was a season with plenty to be proud of for the Arizona Cardinals. They made the leap they needed to under third year head coach Kliff Kingsbury and quarterback Kyler Murray made some strides as well. Midway through the season they were undefeated, and they had the number one seed in their grasp in December. Unfortunately, they faded down the stretch and ultimately fell in the wild card round to the Rams. A playoff berth was good, but a similar trend befell this team once again. Teams began to figure them out as the season changed, and the offense really turned into Murray trying to improvise and make plays with injuries to the running back room. The Cardinals enter the 2022 offseason with plenty of free agents and very little cap room, most notably Chandler Jones and Zach Ertz, the latter of whom was acquired midseason via a trade. Both Christian Kirk and A.J. Green are set to hit free agency on offense, along with running backs James Conner and Chase Edmonds. The offensive line could see some huge turnover after next season as well.
