After a disappointing 4-11-1 record, the Philadelphia Eagles landed the sixth overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Philadelphia decided to clean house during the offseason, firing head coach Doug Pederson and trading Carson Wentz to Indianapolis. The Eagles decided to trade the sixth overall pick to Miami in exchange for the 12th overall pick in this draft and an additional first-rounder in the 2022 NFL Draft. The Eagles could have as many as three first-round picks in the 2022 NFL Draft depending on the impact Wentz makes with the Colts during the 2021 season. After trading back from the sixth spot, General Manager Howie Roseman could look to move back into the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft depending on how the draft board falls on April 29.
