The Chicago Bears’ 2016 season started with cautious optimism in the eyes of some. Conversely, a lot of people on the outside looking in felt the season could be a train wreck. I found myself in the latter category, even when overreacting to the Bears’ first preseason game. Right now, the Bears sit at 2-9. For the rest of the season, the Bears have a winnable game against the San Francisco 49ers at home and three very tough games against the NFC North-leading Detroit Lions, the Bears-killing Green Bay Packers, and the Wild Card-contending Washington Redskins. Realistically, we are looking at a team that could very well be 2-14 or 3-13 by the end of the season.
