The NFL Draft is coming back to the Great Lakes in 2024. After Cleveland took its turn hosting the draft in 2021, Detroit will be the venue for next year’s draft — and it could see a stronger quarterback class, led by Southern California’s Caleb Williams. Next year’s draft is slated for April 25-27 in Detroit. The Browns won’t have their first-round pick for the third and final year from the blockbuster trade they made last year for quarterback Deshaun Watson. Houston turned around Thursday in the 2023 draft and used some of its inventory to move up and draft Alabama edge rusher Will Anderson in a deal with Arizona that know gives the Cardinals a second first-round pick next year. Chicago also has another one after it traded out of the top spot in this year’s draft. Green Bay also could have another one, based on its trade with the New York Jets for Aaron Rodgers.
